All the Arts for All the Kids Festival

*Rain or Shine* Please join us in the Southside courtyard this Friday, April 29th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm as we welcome and encourage families to come together to create ART - big and small.

SSFA is hosting a Remake Learning Day event complete with multiple ART themed stations and, none other than local SPREAD LOVE artist, Brandon Thrift who will be on site assisting our students create a mural to be permanently displayed on the courtyard wall.

Featuring our very own Southside Teachers:

• Learn a line dance with Ms. Cockrell
• Enjoy music from Mr. G and the Southside Jazz Band
• Create Artist Trading Cards and Mini Tibetan Prayer Flags for the Southside FLAGs with Ms. Dore
• Code and draw with ARTIE Robots with Ms. Alba

Also Featuring Guests from the local Arts Community:

• Jam out to Jazz Trio SRQ (featuring Mr. G) and local vocalist
• Take a stab at calligraphy with artist, Guiseppe Marchese
• Freestyle paint as a family on our large wooden “canvas” to be on display at various times throughout the year *paint supplies to be provided, aprons are optional
• Take home a free portrait of yourself compliments of local caricaturist, Michael White
• Create a mosaic with arts educator, Connie Cuadrado
• Celebrate the unveiling of Southside’s Free Little Art Galleries (FLAGs) during the official ribbon cutting commemorating our very own public art gallery open to our school and community.

Brandon Thrift ART Raffle

We are excited and honored to announce that Brandon Thrift is donating one of his personal art pieces to SSFA. We will be holding a raffle for one lucky winner of the donated artwork. Tickets are on sale via the SSFA and PTO websites for $20 per entry. We will also have raffle tickets available for purchase at the event. The winner will be announced at the end of the event.

Refreshments

Purple Belle Ice Cream Truck will be in the Webber bus loop offering a great selection of tasty cold treats.

Also be sure to check out the Southside Student Lemonade ‘stand’ – small bills and/or change preferred.

Other light snacks and refreshments will be available while supplies last.
