All the Arts for All the Kids Week

Monday: 8:45 AM- The History of American Music Program for all students. From the early days of our country (Blues, New Orleans) to present day (HipHop, Fusion) and everything in between. Infused with social studies and bits of creative writing, student participation is encouraged!

Tuesday- 8:00 AM- Jazz club will perform in the front of the school during drop-off.

Wednesday: 8:20 AM- Western Symphony Kindergarteners and 1st graders will perform in front of school during drop-off.

Thursday- 8:20 AM- Dance Clubs will perform in front of school during drop-off.

Friday: 8:45 AM- Upward Notes Performance- an organization that spreads the joy of music outside of the concert hall and throughout the community will perform for Southside students.

Friday: 3:30-5:30 PM- All the Arts for All the Kids Fest. Join us in the courtyard to create big and small art. SSFA is hosting a Remake Learning Day event where local SPREAD LOVE artist, Brandon Thrift will assist students in painting a mural that will be on permanent display at Southside. We’ll unveil the Southside FLAG with a ribbon cutting to commemorate this new public art gallery for our community. Art stations, Mr. G’s band Jazz Trio SRQ will perform, and so will the Southside Jazz Band. We’ll have free snacks and water and an ice cream truck will be here to purchase treats. This free fun event is for both parents and students.
